vacherot makes my heart thump

Vacherot earned himself a spot into the semifinals of Monte-Carlo against... Alcaraz. That's tough.
Edit: I wrote this a day before the semifinals. Unsurprisingly he lost but the scoreline was respectable.
His rise to top 30 has been nothing short of incredible. Totally showing that Masters win was not a fluke. Part of what I love about his rise is, I swear, if I close my eyes, we belong to the same country.
Anyways few days ago, I went for bouldering. I don't know how the sport became canon among my friends but it's popularity is well deserved. I would certainly rank it above basketball and football in terms of playing enjoyment.
I pleased myself with my performance. I managed to do some Level 5 problems (by the place's climbing standards) and a problem that some of my friends couldn't do. Apparently after my turn, somebody had (or perhaps it was the material) put oil into it ew.... It was so slippery a lot of people who attempted it struggled with the problem except a few freaks. I had to do a rerun to see what everybody was talking about (because I couldn't believe it was slippery).
I don't understand how one can jump from Level 5 to say Level 7. It doesn't look possible. As the levels get higher, the less there seems to grasp on. Heck, even the starts are hard. One day. Maybe.
For now, I'm enjoying it. What I like the most about the sport so far is being able to get into a focused state which if you know anything about me is rare. Climbing to certainly heights certainly activates the adrenaline.
