screw AI
I sat next to a friend for programming lab; most people were working on the assignment including the both of us. I was shocked to learn of his massive progress with the assignment. I've seen the questions and it left me scratching my head so I was impressed to say the least. He let me see the code and a lot of questions popped in my head just from seeing it.
"What's this variable?"
I see the guy letting out a cheeky smile, "yeah I don't know". Turns out the dude straight up copied answers from ChatGPT to do the assignment. That relieved the huge insecurities that were piling up on me at that moment. I swear to God, you're better off submitting a half-ass work rather than a work done by another entity in a task that explicitly forbid the use of generative AI. Have some self-respect. Or at least, make sure you understand every bit of the answers.
