I wish I don't get motion sickness

I've said it before in the we can't play roblox together anymore post. I experience (weird) motion sickness whenever I play OR watch (but watching is more tolerable.. maybe) videogames. Specifically 3d games which includes Minecraft, Roblox, .... you name it.

The symptom explains why, as a kid, watching Minecraft videos or the early 2000 movies with their crappy graphics (CAT IN THE HAT???) filled me with a sense of wonder because as it turns out the nausea contributed to the experience! Stare long at the abyss and the abyss will stare back at you. Feelings of the sort. Thus I'll never understand VR.

I must clarify to clear several misunderstandings: the symptom happens rather inconsistently which leads me to the theory that factors includes the type of game, the surrounding lighting, and the quality/type of screen of my device. So I don't mean the 5 seconds I open Roblox and I'm already wiped out. Depending on all the factors combined, I could probably sustain playing for 30~60 mins. Depends how much I can tolerate the nausea.

But it does mean it makes it hard to explain to my friends without them raising their eyebrows in disbelief. "You're just not playing the right game bro". Or in a middle of a game (which I had to force myself to join), tired, I have to make an excuse "I have to leave" and everybody in the call will go "Oh whyyy. Stay another 10 mins". Rinse and repeat until I firmly decide to leave. Yeah, I'm good with just watching.

As a result, I feel like I'm missing out on the games I could be playing and ESPECIALLY the motoric skills you acquire. I deadass struggled playing those team parkour game on Roblox because I (somehow) could not my character to the OTHER platform. It's a skill issue. Everybody laughed at me (including myself with a mixture of shame and embarrasment). It was those games where the first jumps, the second over the first, and henceforth. Naturally, I got cooked a lot. Somebody gets triggered. When I got better later on, I faked my fail-jumps (oops) just to rage-bait. The levels eventually got a lot harder; we switched games eventually.

TO A FLIGHT SIMULATOR. It wasn't that serious.

Anyways, I always appreciate it whenever 2D games are being played... card games, gartic, ... you name it. Just not UNO because I kept getting +4s.

I feel bad to the little kids coming up to me, expecting games on my phone, only to be disappointed. "What do you do for fun?"
