how to fuck up a student newsletter club
The moment we stop creating, the moment we are dead. That was how I sort of see everything. I look back at our Instagram page, I feel like Oppenheimer except the 144p version of it. My vision of a consistent, active publication never happened. There was too much friction. In people, communication, medium of work. What I had passed (though it was a culmination of people's ideas as well) were advertisements and festivity posts, nothing student-centered posts, nothing that really sparks insight or discussion. We all fall in the marketing rabbithole, not so much creating.
Yet it seems to fall down to communication and teamwork. I do not know what was on people's mind when they put me in charge; leadership is a vile task and I have probably failed at it.
