hot bath

There was this girl who, asked of what she is most grateful of, answered: "Shower". Her answer (this was in middle school) left a lasting impression on me.

.

We went up the mountains, passing steeply inclined, long-winded tracks. My family rented a villa to celebrate New Year's Eve. At this particular time of the year, it never stops raining. But the view: Cold climate with mists on top of a hill, overseeing the mountains. I longed for warmth.

That day I took a shower with hot water. There was only one way (the correct way) to express this human satisfaction: a sigh. I saw clouds of boiling water against the cold climate and I thought "This is really a luxury.[^1]" In an instant, I imagined this experience would've been ever better if I could see the mountains.

Suddenly, I understood the fascination with onsen and all that is hot bath.

Is this a sign of old age?

May we have a good year ahead. 26
