handshake to a better future

Today I forgot to carry my water bottle. Forgetful, I know. It's impossible to get through the day without drinking water bottle. If I don't have a drink, I might die out of thirst so I decided to purchase a water bottle. I walked a few meters to the nearest store in campus.

A few meters close to the store, I saw a large sign indicating that the store is no longer open. Its blind gate is half-open and half-closed. I crouched down to peek at the store and found the owner packing his items. The man greeted me and told me, they've closed the shop since last week. He found it baffling I didn't know about the news. I nodded in sympathy. I asked him if I could still buy water from him.

To which, thankfully, he still has stocks of water. I paid him money. I shook his hand, hoping him good future with his business. We parted ways and I look back at the store, thinking who knew being forgetful would led me to be their (probably) last customer in this shop.
